Each inhabitant of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre can ask for the help of the CPAS. The purpose is to make it possible for everyone to lead a life in conformity to human dignity. There are several ways of making a request :
- going personally to the CPAS where you will be welcomed by a the person from the social service ;
- writing or calling the number above to ask for the visit of a social delegate.
If you have any problem, the social service will help you to make all the steps for:
- child benefits
- sickness and disablement insurance (mutual insurance company)
- pension
- benefits for disabled people
- guarantee for a minimum income
- Home Roi Baudouin
- etc.
The CPAS is there for what concerns social, medical, psychological or legal assistance.

It is the College of Mayor and Deputy Mayors that gives to blind people the authorization to get a white cane. The request, as well as the medical certificate delivered by an ophtalmologist, has to be sent to the Social Affairs Service.

Pensions

Every wage earner or self-employed worker can send his pension request to the Social Affairs Service. The request has to be sent a year before the retirement age. This service is at your disposal for any information, by appointment only.
If you wait till the legal retirement age, documents will be directly sent by the National Office of Pensions.

A municipal intervention is granted to people :
- having the statute of V.I.P.O.
- disabled to more than 66 %.

Birth or adoption premium

From the second child, a birth or adoption premium is allowed to the mother who lives in the municipality on the day of the birth or the adoption of the child, if she has been registered in the population register of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre for at least six months.
The amount of this premium is 60,00 € for the second child and 150,00 € for the third and the following.
The month following the inscription of the child in the population registers, the mother will be informed that she can benefit from this premium.

This service is made for parents of children between 3 months and 12 years old who are ill.
Conditions :

- submit an assignment or a certificate of family allowances or a household composition.

Every child between three and eighteen months has to take this vaccination. except for children who have an exemption for medical reason. Within the fifteen days which follow the last administration, a medical certificate mentioning the four dates of vaccination must be given to the Social Affairs service which will affix in the Belgian marriage book a seal proving the administration of the vaccination.

Tombolas and lotteries can only be organized for the benefit of philanthropical work, in order to encourage the industry, arts and sports or for any other public purpose. The authorization of the Mayor and the Deputy Mayors is needed if the sell of tickets takes place in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.
If the ticket sell takes place in several municipalitys, you will have to ask the authorization from the Ministry of Brussels-Capital.
