Cycling in Brussels : Ping if you care

Do you cycle once and a while in the Brussels Region? Do you like to share with other cyclists and the Brussels Government what can be better and safer for cyclists? Register at

The pinger is a blue tooth button, which is fixed on your bike, your jacket or your trousers. Every time when you, as a cyclist, experience an unsafe situation, you ping. The location is immediately saved in the Bike Citizens app on your smartphone and send to a central server. At the end of your trip, you can give feedback on the points you have pinged. What was unsafe about this situation? In this way, The Brussels Region collects data on road safety for cyclists gathered with a simple push on the button.

Would you like be a part of this unique pilot project and receive a Pinger?  Please register at:
The number of pingers is limited, so you need to register quickly. We will let you know whether or not you have been selected within 2 business days after your registration.
Information about where and when you will have your pinger, you will receive later.

«Ping if you care», a new research project, coordinated by  Mobiel 21 and BikeCitizens, commissioned by the Brussels-Capital Region, seeks 1000 cyclists to make a detailed cycle map of the most important bottle necks for cyclists.
