Description

The electronic identity card is delivered to every child aged less than 12 years when requested by one or two parents exercising parental authority. This card is valid in almost all European countries (info).

How to obtain?

• Present yourself to the Population Service of the municipality. Presence of the child is mandatory at the moment of request.

Note: Identity photos are now taken directly at the administration office (except for children under 3, who still need to bring their own photo).

Validity: 3 years

Cost: €11,10

Divers procedures:

• Urgent procedure (1 day): 113,20€
• Procedure for extreme urgency (4h30) with centralised delivery at FPS Interior (Parc Atrium –11 Rue des Colonies, access via rue Montagne du Parc 2): €144,30. The request must be made before 3pm. Cards requested after 3pm and/or on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays will be delivered the next working day.

Please note that a surcharge of €10,10 is required for non-residents (registered with a diplomatic/consular post).
